Using an RTMP connection, you can pull a live streaming broadcast into Production Truck to be used in a second broadcast.
For a video walkthrough of this visit our Youtube Channel.
To do this you'll first need to have two broadcasts created. These broadcasts must either be your own or have permission and help from the owner of the other broadcast.
For this explanation our broadcasts will be titled:
Broadcast A (This will be the main broadcast that will pull in Broadcast B)
Broadcast B (This broadcast will be the secondary broadcast being used as a camera)
We'll first need to go to vcloud.blueframetech.com.
Go to edit Broadcast B and find the Syndication section. Click on RTMP Pull Endpoint and an orange cancel button will appear. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
Go Live with Broadcast B.
After it saves it'll take you to the top of the page, scroll back down to the Syndication section. You should now see an RTMP URL. Copy the RTMP address. This URL is what is going to be plugged into Production Truck.
Before we do this though we need to make sure that Broadcast B is already streaming. This is very important because if you try and pull the RTMP URL before Broadcast B is live it will break the connection and that URL won't work again.
If Broadcast B is live we can go to Production Truck where we will be streaming Broadcast A.
Open the AV Settings in the Preferences window and select the camera input you wish to use for Broadcast B. At the bottom of the window you'll see a text field designated for an RTSP/RTMP URL. Paste in the RTMP URL that we generated on Vcloud.volarvide.com.
When the connection is made you'll see the broadcast appear in your camera preview window and a message box will appear in the preference window telling you that it was successful or if it encountered an error.
When the broadcast is appearing in Production Truck you are free to go live.
