Site sharing is a tool that is available to any BlueFrame streaming service client. It allows one BlueFrame site to share a broadcast to another site via the BlueFrame media widget or portal page easily, without complicated RTMP information. A common example is when a home school would like to share content with an away team that is not streaming the game. The steps below will walk through how to turn on site sharing for your broadcasts.
1. Login to vcloud.blueframetech.com and go to the broadcast or broadcast grid page. Site sharing can be turned on for existing broadcasts, or you can add site sharing to a broadcast that you are in the process of creating. Either way, the process is the same. In this example, I have clicked the edit pencil on University of Charleston's most recent baseball broadcast against West Virginia State.
2. On the Update Broadcast page, scroll down to the Site Sharing tab and click to open it. Start typing the name of the site that you would like to share the broadcast with. You must have permissions granted to you in order to share with a site. In this example, we are sharing this broadcast with both the Mountain East site and West Virginia State University.
3. In order to share with a site, start typing in the site's name. If permissions are granted to share with the site, it will be available in a drop down list after the first three letters are typed. Click to add the site.
4. Once the site(s) is added the broadcast will be available on the original site as well as the sites that have been shared. This will automatically route to the shared sites portal pages and widget. As an example, below is University of Charleston's portal page, as well as the Mountain East portal and WVSU portal with that most recent broadcast in all three.
University of Charleston
Mountain East TV
West Virginia State University
