With the Mac OS updates, a setting may have been enabled that may block your camera or microphone from being used with Production Truck. If you are receiving the “Failed to Start Audio Capture Session” error or seeing a black screen for your camera input, then this may resolve that issue. There is a simple fix through enabling a privacy setting that solves the issue.

Navigate to your Mac’s System Preferences located in the top right through the Apple logo.

Once your System Preferences area has been opened, navigate to the Security & Privacy icon, displayed as a house symbol.

3. Within the Security & Privacy area, navigate to the Privacy tab at the top.

4. Additionally, click on the small lock button on the bottom right. You will be asked to enter the Admin’s username and password. This allows you to make changes to various security settings.

On the right, locate the Microphone setting, with the microphone icon, and select it. Then next to the Production Truck name and logo, ensure that there is a blue check mark, or click the box to enable it. Do the same for your Camera setting.

You have successfully enabled your camera and microphone for use within Production Truck.
