If you are utilizing our Production Truck application, but attempting to send this signal to another streaming service provider, you will utilize what is referred to as RTMP information, in order to send the stream. This article outlines how to properly create a broadcast within Production Truck in order to send your stream.

NOTE: You will likely need to contact your streaming service provider in order to obtain information necessary to complete these steps.

Within Production Truck, select "Preferences" then navigate to the "Service" tab located on the far left. Then change the "Streaming Service" option to "Generic (RTMP/UDP/SRT)" or "Stretch Internet" using the pull down menu.

Once that change has been made you can create your broadcast. Under the "Broadcast" heading, select "Create Broadcast".

A new window will appear with multiple options. The "Description" field can just be the title of your broadcast and just serves as a display name within Production Truck. The key pieces of data are the "Host URL" and "Stream Name" fields. You will get these two pieces of data from your streaming provider.

Note: Some service provides may call these by different names. E.g. Stream URL, URL, Stream Name, Stream Key,  etc...

Then, Simply copy and paste them into their respective fields. Below is an example of what these pieces of data may look like. Some streaming service providers require a username and password in order to send them a signal, you will place those pieces of information in their respective fields.

Host URL: rtmp://o3.stretchinternet.com:1935/flash1 or rtmp://ingest.sidearmstreaming.com/live

Stream Name:  zWaE-A1R7E-TyEmRnRaIpBwLqE

Contact your Stream Service provider for your RTMP Endpoint Information.

Note: The "Username" and "Password" field are only required if your streaming service requires Authorization. Most streaming services do not require an entry in this field.

Once you have those two pieces of information inputted, click Save and then you may begin streaming.

Pro Tip: Depending on your stream service provider, you may be able to use the same "Host URL" and "Stream Name" for every broadcast. In this case you can choose the 'Keep' option when you stop a broadcast to save the endpoint in the broadcast list.
